Call for Abstracts

Whether you are introducing new initiatives, enhancing existing services, or delivering outstanding outcomes that deserve wider recognition, the Australian School Library Association invites you to share your expertise and experiences with colleagues from across Australia and beyond.

Presenting at ASLA Conference is an opportunity to showcase your work, contribute to professional learning, spark meaningful conversations, and help shape the future of school libraries. We welcome submissions from school library professionals, educators, researchers, and advocates who are passionate about empowering students, fostering literacy, and creating dynamic learning environments.

 

We encourage you to submit an abstract for the ASLA Conference in Hobart to shine a light on best practice in school libraries.

 

Session Formats: 

We welcome a variety of formats — presentations, workshops, panels, interactive experiences or something entirely new.


Submission Details: 

Submit a short abstract (up to 250 words) outlining your session idea, key takeaways and what makes it special.

Important dates:    

Abstract Submission Deadline: 31 August 2026

Notification of Acceptance: by 30 September 2026

Conference Dates: 8 – 10 April 2027
